ABOUT RSSDI
RSSDI established in 1972, is the largest organization of diabetes health care professionals and researches in Asia. It has nearly 6500 plus members from among physicians, diabetologists and endocrinologists.

The Delhi chapter RSSDI was established in 2005 and is one of the most active chapters of RSSDI. Soon after its inception in the year 2006. RSSDI Delhi chapter was given the honour to organize the 34th Annual Conference of Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI- 2006) which was held on November 3-5, 2006 at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi. The Conference was a mega success. Again in the year 2013 our chapter had a privilege of hosting the 41st Annual Conference of RSSDI at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida on 8th – 10th Nov. The conference witnessed an excellent academic feast with renowned national/ international faculty delivering talks on various aspects of Diabetes. It was attended by nearly 5000 delegates and was appreciated by one and all, especially the foreign faculty. Sir Michael Hirst, president of IDF, was our chief guest, in 2013. This conference did set a new benchmark for all the future conferences. No wonder our annual conference remains an eagerly awaited annual academic feast in Delhi NCR for all the members and those interested in diabetes care.

Being a research society, academics has always been at the core of all our activities. Delhi Chapter of RSSDI has been organizing regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, on bimonthly basis. Our CME programs tend to include research presentations from various private and government institutions as well as from smaller private practices, giving ample opportunity to all, to share their research work, irrespective of their size or affiliations.

Research grants too are our regular feature and are provided not only to the young budding researchers but also to institutional research groups for clinical and epidemiological studies. Every year, a free paper session entertains original research in our annual conference and best three papers get cash prizes and certificates.

A continuing professional development (CPD) programme for all RSSDI members has been devised and is finding many new seekers and supporters, evident by a flow of new membership applications.

Public connect programme, CME debates, case CMEs, full day workshops on clinically relevant subjects, which include opportunities for training have been added from this year.

Friends, RSSDI Delhi Chapter invite you all for their annual conference scheduled for 15th of December 2019. Please mark your calendars since the countdown has begun.
